MUSKOGEE, Oklahoma -- Police say a teen shot and killed one man and injured another in Muskogee Monday afternoon.
Muskogee police are looking for 17-year-old Deontee Eugene Newton.
Officers said two 21-year-old men got out of a car near 26th and Court when they were shot. They say the two men took off running and were later taken to the hospital by ambulance.
One man died from his wounds. The other was shot in the arm and foot and police say he's in fair condition. Their names have not been released.
Shortly after the shooting Muskogee police surrounded a home in the area they believed Newton was hiding out in.
"Our special operations team was called to assist," Corporal Pedro Zardeneta, Muskogee Police, said. "They surrounded the house. We have our normal protocol in those situations. The suspect was not in the residence."
Newton is described as a black male, 5 feet 9 inches tall and approximately 165 pounds.
If you have any information on his whereabouts call the Muskogee Police Department at 918-683-8000.
