Woman Sentenced In Cyclist Deaths

TULSA, Oklahoma -- Tausha Borland was sentenced Thursday to 24 years in prison in the deaths of two bicyclists in a Sand Springs drinking and driving accident in June, 2009.

Borland swerved into a group of cyclists on Highway 51 near 161st West Avenue, killing 33-year-old Christa Voss and 34-year-old Matt Edmonds. Her vehicle also injured cyclist John Moore.

In September, Borland entered a guilty plea in the first degree manslaughter deaths of  Voss and Edmonds.

Borland also received a 6-year suspended sentence for driving under the influence of alcohol.
