TULSA, Oklahoma -- Tulsa-area shoppers can get a 10 to 20 percent discount at their favorite stores while helping those in need beginning Friday. The 2010 Care Card is on sale for $50 and can be used at numerous Tulsa businesses.

Any purchases made with the card will earn the shopper a discount, while the $50 will help support the community.

"This fundraiser is vital to our programs and allows the community to take part in helping us heal abused and traumatized children, strengthen families and help the mentally ill," said Gail Lapidus, F&CS chief executive officer.

From October 29 to November 7, Care Card users will get up to 20 percent off at more than 180 local stores and restaurants including:

The $50 cards are on sale now at most participating stores and at the F&CS Central Office, 650 S. Peoria Ave. All proceeds from the card purchase price will go toward F&CS's life-changing programs.
