Man Killed In Collision With Cow In Mayes County

A Chelsea man died Wednesday night after hitting a cow on a road in Mayes County, according to the <a href="http://www.dps.state.ok.us/ohp/tngrct/ohpweb/index.html" target="_blank">Oklahoma Highway Patrol</a>.

MAYES COUNTY, Oklahoma – A Chelsea man died Wednesday night after hitting a cow on a road in Mayes County, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Troopers said Cody Bearden, 21, was driving north on State Highway 28 eight miles west of Adair when he hit a cow in the roadway. Troopers said the cow was thrown onto his 1994 Ford Escort.

OHP said Bearden was wearing his seatbelt. He was pronounced dead at the scene from massive head injuries.
