TULSA, Oklahoma – A Tulsa doctor accused of sexually assaulting one of this patients pleaded not guilty Monday.

Dr. Richard Irwin is charged with three felonies; rape, indecent exposure and forcible sodomy. He's accused of sexually assaulting a 33-year-old autistic man.

In an arrest affidavit, the patient said Irwin, who works at Tulsa Developmental Pediatrics, sexually assaulted him over 20 years and told him to keep it a secret.

Irwin's attorney told News On 6 crime reporter Lori Fullbright Dr. Irwin has been treating patients with disabilities for 30 years and is looking forward to being vindicated in court.

Irwin is out of jail on bond.

A preliminary hearing has been set for December 8, 2010.
