TULSA, Oklahoma – Some folks at the Tulsa State Fair are finding big bucks they didn't know they had coming.

The State Treasurer set up a Pot of Gold booth to help fairgoers search for unclaimed property. Unclaimed property includes bank accounts, security deposits, old paychecks, overpayments, royalties, rebates, stocks and bonds.

So far, 190 people have claimed more than $177,000. An Owasso woman discovered $88,000 in liquidated stock.

"If you are going to the fair, you should come by our booth," Scott Meacham, State Treasurer, said. "There isn't much you can do for free at the fair, much less walk away with money."

This is the sixth year the booth has been at the fair. More than $1.7 million has been found for about 3,000 fairgoers.
