DALLAS -- The Oklahoma Sooners survived another fourth-quarter comeback and a crazy final 90 seconds to secure a 28-20 victory over Texas in the Red River Rivalry Saturday.

Texas (3-2, 1-1) kicked a short field goal with 1:39 remaining to cut the lead to eight, and then elected for a deep kickoff. The ball rolled into the end zone for a touchback, and the Sooners (5-0, 1-0) could have sealed the game with a first down.

But on second down, miscommunication caused a broken play and quarterback Landry Jones dropped the ball for a fumble that could have cost OU the lead. But Jones managed to flip around and knock the ball out of bounds, stopping the clock but saving the possession.
