CLAREMORE, OKLAHOMA -- A 38-year-old Owasso man is in the Rogers County jail charged with a number of sex-related crimes against a teenage girl.
The Rogers County Sheriff's Office says James Thompson began a friendly relationship with a 14-year-old girl in early 2009. Deputies say the relationship grew more intense and sexual in nature in late 2009.
At that point, Thompson's wife learned of the affair and told her husband, the teen was no longer welcome at their home. Deputies say the relationship continued, but now included visits to the girl's home as well making of pornographic videos.
Deputies say the teen told her mother about the affair and called Thompson to break off the relationship.
At this point, the Rogers County Sheriff's Office got involved.
A search warrant of Thompson's residence was executed by deputies and multiple items were removed from the home. The list included sex toys and computer data cards containing photographs and videos of the girl.
During questioning, the sheriff's office said Thompson denied having sex with the teen but admitted to taking sexually explicit photographs of her.
Thompson is being held in jail on charges of first degree rape, rape by instrumentation, lewd molestation, forcible sodomy, making child pornography and possession of child pornography.
