BARTLESVILLE, OKLAHOMA -- The old Wal-Mart store in Bartlesville caught fire Thursday morning causing smoke and water damage throughout the structure.
The building which houses administration offices for Walmart and the Washington County Emergency Management Office is located at the intersection of U.S. Highway 75 and U.S. Highway 60.
Bartlesville Assistant Fire Chief Bill Hollander says the fire was caused by sparks from a grinder that a roofing crew was using.
The fire was first reported shortly after 11 a.m.
Firefighters located the fire in the ceiling area of the building and were able to contain it to the middle and back of the building.
There were no injuries.
