Brain Tumor Takes The Life Of A Tulsa Police Officer

TULSA, OKLAHOMA -- Tulsa Police officers are remembering a fellow officer who died Wednesday night at a Tulsa hospital. 

Officer Kathy Harrel had been suffering from a brain tumor.  She succumbed to the disease late Wednesday. 

Officer Harrel worked at the department's Mingo Valley division in east Tulsa.

Early Thursday morning, fellow TPD officers escorted the hearse from the hospital to a funeral home in Sapulpa.

Funeral plans for Harrel are still pending.
