TULSA, OKLAHOMA -- A Tulsa man is in the Tulsa County jail after he was arrested for stabbing his wife late Monday night.

Tulsa Police say at 10 p.m. officers were dispatched to 1700 block of North Lewis Place on a report of a domestic assault.

When officers arrived on scene they found 22-year-old Denise Perry with multiple stab wounds in her torso.

Officers were told the victim's husband, 25-year-old Elston Perry had confronted her and stabbed her repeatedly. After slashing his own wrists he fled the scene.

Tulsa Police found him a short time later by following a blood trail walking in the 2300 block of North Lewis.

Denise Perry was taken to a Tulsa hospital where she is listed in critical condition.

Elston Perry was arrested and booked into the jail on a complaint of domestic assault battery with a deadly weapon.
