Seven Oklahomans, Including Two From Tulsa, Make Forbes 400 List

TULSA, OKLAHOMA -- A total of seven Oklahomans have made the Forbes list of the 400 wealthiest people in the United States.

According to a news release, Tulsan George Kaiser is ranked 29th on the list and is the wealthiest Oklahoman, with an estimated fortune of $9.4 billion.

Kaiser controls Kaiser-Francis Oil Co. and is chairman of BOK Financial Corporation.

Oklahoma City resident Harold Hamm is 44th on Forbes list. He is the head of Enid-based Continental Resources with an estimated fortune of $5.8 billion.

Others Oklahomans on the list were Hobby Lobby founder David Green who came in at 136 with a worth of $2.6 billion and Tulsan Lyn Shusterman, $2 billion. 

Also on the list was Alliance Resource Partners chief executive officer Joseph Craft, $1.4 billion; Chesapeake co-founder Aubrey McClendon, $1.2 billion and businessman Malone Mitchell, $1.2 billion.
