BARTLESVILLE, Oklahoma -- Price Tower Arts Center wraps up its exhibition, Fellowship: 75 Years of Taliesin Box Projects, on Sunday, September 19th. The closing falls on the museum's Free Sunday which includes free gallery admission and a special craft project for children.
The hands-on activity for children will be sand art.
"This Free Sunday will be the public's final opportunity to view this wonderful exhibition. The boxes, which were personalized gifts to Frank Lloyd Wright from his apprentices, have never before been viewed outside of the Taliesin Fellowship," said PTAC Marketing Manager Debra Woodall.
The exhibition includes approximately 75 pieces on paper and 20 presentation boxes. It features the works of William Wesley Peters, John DeKoven Hill, Edgar Tafel, Kenneth Lockhart, Ling Po, and Allen Davison.
"The goal of the exhibition has been to celebrate the creativity of the men and women who came to Taliesin, in a way that honors their commitment to Frank Lloyd Wright's vision," said Price Tower Arts Center Curator Scott W. Perkins.
Price Tower Arts Center will be open from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday for the event. For more information call 336-4949 or visit pricetower.org.
