Tulsa Driver Dies After His Pickup Truck Rear Ends A Semi

TULSA, OKLAHOMA -- A 24-year-old man has died after his pickup truck crashed into the back of a semi-truck trailer on 129th East Avenue late Monday night.

Tulsa Police say the semi driver was slowing down for a red light on 31st Street at about 11 p.m. when the pickup truck hit the trailer.

The pickup truck went underneath and Saul Garcia was pinned for about thirty minutes until Tulsa firefighters could get him out.

Garcia was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Tulsa Police do not believe alcohol played a role in that crash.

Tulsa Police say Saul Garcia was just a few days shy of his 25th birthday.
