TULSA, OKLAHOMA -- A teenaged girl was killed in a two-car accident just after 11 p.m. Friday at East Pine and North Utica in Tulsa. The girl was riding in the backseat of a Toyota passenger car that police believe ran a red light and hit a pickup they say was speeding through the intersection.
"We had two other victims inside the vehicle that were extricated by Tulsa Fire and transported," said Sergeant Robert Rohloff with the Tulsa Police Department.
Tulsa firefighters also freed the pickup truck driver from his vehicle. The man was transported to a Tulsa hospital.
"Investigators are looking into whether any alcohol was a factor," Rohloff said. They say they believe the driver of the pickup may have been drinking.
There was no immediate word on the condition of the surviving victims involved in the accident.
