TUSLA, OK -- The economy has a lot of families are struggling put food on the table. But, a Tulsa church congregation is stepping up to help.

Guts Church announced a new program to make sure families here have something to eat. Volunteers are giving away five days worth of groceries and a hot meal every Friday. They say when the need stated growing, they knew they had to do something.

"It's not so much the lower class people anymore, middle class people are going hungry and they don't have food for their kids. Just people that can't find work," Taylor Scheer, Guts Church Food Pantry, said.

Anyone in need can stop by on Fridays from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. to get a free bag of groceries.
