NORMAN, Okla. (AP) -- Police in Norman say a "very hot" 2-year-old was found alone in 100-plus degree heat at a trailer park.
Capt. Tom Easley says a resident called police about 3:20 p.m. Thursday after finding the child in northern Norman near Max Westheimer Airport. Police says the child was treated at a local hospital then released into state custody.
The National Weather Service reports temperatures were about 102 degrees from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m. Thursday.
Sgt. Jennifer Newell says the child's parents have been identified, but she declined to release their names.
No charges have been filed.
