BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) -- The FBI says a man dubbed the "Granddad Bandit" and suspected in 25 bank robberies in 13 states has been captured in Louisiana.
FBI agents and city police surrounded a home in Baton Rouge late Wednesday morning.
About 3:45 p.m., a stocky, balding man with graying hair and glasses was led away without incident. FBI Special Agent Howard Schwartz identified the man as 53-year-old Michael Mara. He had previously been unidentified.
Mara is wanted for 25 bank robberies in 13 states.
He's suspected of robbing Valley National Bank at 2020 East 21st Street in Tulsa last December.
