TULSA, OK -- A major Tulsa highway intersection reopened early Monday morning.
One northbound lane of U.S. Highway 75 at the I-44 junction reopened to traffic at 5:30 a.m. Monday.
The Oklahoma Department of Transportation was replacing just one of the lanes on the bridge, but needed both lanes closed over the weekend to have room for the equipment.
Drivers can expect more detours over the coming months.
"We're hoping next weekend to do a pour on the southbound side and in another week or two, go back and do another pour on the north side. We'll be switching back and forth for the next two to three weeks," said Matt Casillas, ODOT Project Manager.

ODOT plans to replace the bridge decks on U.S. Highway 75 and then work on the on and off ramps.
The work will continue through the end of the year.
