Bixby Residents Urged To Conserve Water

BIXBY, OK – Residents in Bixby are being asked to avoid using water for any unnecessary purposes.

Beatriz Aamodt, Public Works Director for the City of Bixby, said Tuesday night the main water tower in Bixby had dropped to dangerously low levels.

Aamodt said the low levels were the result of a major water line break in Tulsa that occurred Monday night. She said that water line affects water supply in Bixby.

Bixby city officials are worried there would be an inadequate supply of water in case of fire or emergency.

Officials aren't how long it would take to bring the levels back up.
