BIXBY, OK -- Trying to escape arrest by hiding in the attic of a home with Thursday's temps in the 90s wasn't the best choice for a suspect arrested by Bixby Police Thursday afternoon.

Bixby Police were at the home near 2nd Street and D Street Thursday morning arresting five people after serving a warrant when they noticed smells associated with a meth lab.

The Tulsa County Sheriff's deputies assisted Bixby Police after a sixth suspect fled into the attic of the home.

After several hours, that suspect came down and was taken to a Tulsa hospital by EMSA.

A Tulsa County Sheriff's deputy was also transported to a Tulsa hospital by EMSA.

EMSA says both were transported in fair condition.

Police say five suspects had to be hosed down by the Bixby Fire Department after they were taken into custody.
