TULSA, OK -- Tulsa police have made an arrest in the home invasion shooting death of Corey Johnson. The 31-year-old man was killed Wednesday in front of his wife and child during a home invasion robbery in the 600 block of East 27th Place.
On Friday, suspect Nico Deangelo Jackson, 18, was booked on complaints of first-degree murder, first-degree burglary and robbery with a firearm.
According to the arrest report, physical evidence at Johnson's home was positively identified as belonging to Jackson. When arrested, Jackson was wearing a pair of Converse tennis shoes that police say matched shoe impressions recovered at the homicide scene.
They say there appeared to be dried blood on the surface of Jackson's shoes at the time of his arrest.
Corey Johnson's death is the 28th murder this year in Tulsa.
