Tulsa Police Department Reaching Out To Hispanic Community

TULSA, OK -- The Tulsa Police Department is reaching out to the Hispanic community with a special public relations group.

The team is headed up by Officer Jesse Guardiola. He says it's all about building bridges between people.

"Because everybody knows with the explosion of the Hispanic population there's a lot of growing pains in Oklahoma," Officer Jesse Guardiola said. "And to let them know that we are here as well to help them."

The team's been trained in survival Spanish and immigrant culture. They also have a language line Spanish speakers can call to report crimes.
