TULSA, OK -- The Tulsa Police Department is asking for information on a pedestrian hit and run accident Sunday morning.
It was about 5:45 a.m. when officers were called to the 12300 block of East 41st Street.
When officers arrived to the scene, they say they discovered the body of 19-year-old Cheresa Lynn Jackson of Tulsa. Jackson's body was in the street.
Jackson was walking eastbound in the westbound lane when she was struck by a westbound vehicle, according to police.
"The victim was lodged under the vehicle and was drug before the driver manipulated the car, causing the victim to be dislodged," Officer Jason Willingham said in a news release. "The driver then continued westbound."
There is no description of the vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 596-COPS.
