ARDMORE, OK -- 3M has announced plans to close its plant in Ardmore by the end of the year.
Company officials made the announcement Thursday to its 125 employees at the plant that makes dental implant products. The company says the plant's operations will be moved to St., Paul, Minn., and Irvine, Calif., during the next several months.
Officials say consolidating the operations into other plants will make it more efficient.
The company says some jobs will be moved to the other plants while other employees will be given a severance package. The number of jobs to be lost was not announced.
