NOWATA, OK -- A Tulsa man is headed to trial in connection with a deadly hit and run. Prosecutors say Charlie Strong Jr. was driving a classic 1955 Chevy on U.S. Highway 169 back in May of 2009.
They say he tried to pass someone, but ran head-on into an oncoming car and took off. The collision killed 70-year-old Gene Hobbs of South Coffeyville, 15-year-old Kyler Blagg and 44-year-old Amy Blagg, both of Caney, Kansas.
Prosecutors claim Strong was drunk at the time of the wreck.
In Wednesday's preliminary hearing, Strong was bound over to district court on all charges. He heads back to court June 18th.
