Suspect In Green Country Car Dealership Thefts Arrested In Pryor

PRYOR, OK -- A suspect in the burglary of a Pryor car dealership turned himself into police Tuesday.

According to Pryor Detective Doug Barham, 41-year-old Charles Patrick Taylor of Broken Arrow is believed to be one of the men who robbed Roberts Auto Center in Pryor.

Three dealerships in Pryor, including Roberts Auto Center, and other dealerships in Owasso, Claremore and Sapulpa have been hit. The men smashed the back glass out of cars and stole third row seats from vehicles like Yukons, Denalis, Suburbans and Tahoes.

Police got a break in the case when suspects were caught on video tape at a nearby WalMart buying a hoe police say was used to break out the back windows of the cars.

Loss to each vehicle is $2,000 for the seat plus damage.

Taylor was immediately released on $40,000 bond.
