TULSA, OK -- The City of Tulsa is about to spend $25,000 to repair Bartlett Square Fountain at 500 South Main. An insurance company is covering the cost.
The fountain was cracked when a driver ran into it and the driver's insurance company has paid the city $25,000 in a settlement for the damage.
The fountain is in the middle of the intersection, and has been hit multiple times since it was installed.
The fountain is named for former U.S. Senator and Oklahoma Governor Dewey Bartlett Sr., the father of Tulsa's current Mayor.
