TULSA, OK -- Dozens of neighborhoods across the Tulsa area are covered with storm debris. The rain stopped long enough Saturday for the clean-up to continue.
"It's going to be a big mess for a long time," said Tulsa resident Larry Lee.
"Yes, it's a very busy weekend," said Bryan Piland of Precision Tree Care.
It seems there are trees everywhere at 33rd Court and 126th East Avenue.
"This is probably the worst I've seen it, in this area," said Lee.
The professionals are taking care of the big trees damaged during storms the past week, and neighbors are helping neighbors cleanup tangled hodgepodges of limbs and branches.
"It's going to be a madhouse for the next couple of weeks. It's going to really be bad," said Lee.
While some spent the day grinding away working to clear broken limb after broken limb, Bill Beene and his wife had the best seat in the house.
"Sitting here drinking a cold beer and watching my neighbors," said Beene of Tulsa.
Most of the neighbors had weekend plans. Beene wanted to open his pool and remove the cover for the summer. Instead, he's going to spend the next few weeks cleaning up what's left of his neighbor's shed.
"I'm doing good. I'm doing good. I got my front yard work done, but I got a lot in the back to do though," said Beene.
Despite losing lots of trees, spirits seem to be high. In fact, Beene is trying to shine a positive light on the situation.
"When the sun comes out, we're going to have a lot more light than we had," Beene said.
