Tulsa Charter School Director: Storm Damage Is 'Devastating'

TULSA, OK – A Tulsa school was targeted by Thursday's tornado.

Administrators at Christian Montessori Academy call the damage devastating. Desks are buried in debris and classrooms have caved in.

"Most of them are pretty good. They, they understand that this is you know, an act of nature and wasn't intentional and they coped pretty well," Mollie Heaberlin, Academy Director. "We had a few that got rather emotional. This has been their home for quite some time."

School is out on Friday, while teachers figure out what can be salvaged. The school is saving tree stumps to use to rebuild the playground.
