TULSA, OK – When Tulsa burglary detectives heard someone had broken into a car at a Tulsa park Wednesday afternoon, they knew who it was and where he was headed next, so they got there ahead of him and watched.
Like clockwork, they say, Charles Overstreet showed up and broke into this yellow car and stole a purse. Overstreet took off, but, they arrested him, again.
The victim happened on it afterward.
"I decided to leave the park and come to my car and some people said, there's a bunch of cops over there and I was like, cool, okay, then I realized it was my car, oh great." Amanda Maxson said.
Overstreet may be the only car burglar ever to be held on a million dollar bond, which happened after his last arrest. But, the witnesses didn't show up, so the case was dismissed.
This time, all the witnesses are officers and they say nothing will keep them from court.
