TULSA, OK -- The Tulsa Police Department has extra officers out Saturday night looking for drunk drivers.
More than 30 officers, plus reserves are planning specific patrols. Money for overtime comes from a federal grant.
TPD says the goal is to let motorists know they're always looking for drivers under the influence.
"We're always looking for drunk drivers. We're always making sure that underage drinking is not happening and so by putting these additional officers out there and paying attention to it, we're able to, at least, let the other officers take care of their calls for service and people be safe," said Officer Craig Murray, Tulsa Police.
The News On 6 will be out with officers Saturday night. Be sure to watch Sunday at 5:30 p.m. to see how many drunk drivers they pulled over.
