TULSA, OK -- The News On 6 has learned a second offer has been made for the old City Hall, just as negotiations were about to start with what was the only interested party.
Omega Alpha Development says it has made an offer that is higher than the $1 million offer from Brickhugger LLC, but would not disclose the amount, or whether the building would be preserved or demolished.
Brickhugger planned to develop the complex into a hotel and restaurant. The same team re-developed the Mayo Hotel.

The City of Tulsa has had the old City Hall and City Council Chambers on the market for more than a year and had received only one offer. City offices were moved to One Technology Center in 2008.
Tony Lombardi, of Stan Frisbie Real Estate, said his company was handling the transaction and made the new offer to the City Thursday.
Omega Alpha re-developed the grocery store and fuel station at the corner of Pine and Peoria.

The company did not release details of their plan for the building, but said it would be "more broad based" than a hotel.
The sale of the City Hall Complex will be negotiated by the Tulsa Development Authority. The City Council is planning to vote Monday on the authorization to sell the property, by transferring it as surplus to the TDA.
Economic Development Director Mike Bunney had previously said the value of the property was $1 million because that was the best, and only, offer the City had received, despite a world-wide marketing effort.
