Tulsa Zoo Hosts Armed Forces Day Sunday

TULSA, OK -- The Tulsa Zoo honored Oklahoma's citizen soldiers this weekend.

Sunday was Armed Forces Day at the Tulsa Zoo. With a military ID, soldiers and their families could get into the zoo for just $1 each.

Plus, there were thank you notes and encouraging messages written by other zoo goers to our men and women in uniform.

"We like to offer things for the families to do in appreciation of their service men doing what they do for our country," said Julie, a military supporter.

This is the sixth year the Tulsa Zoo has offered the special military discount.
