Collinsville Man Dies In Crash

A Collinsville man has died after crashing his car into a tree, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

CATOOSA, OK -- A Collinsville man has died after crashing his car into a tree, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

OHP received the call about 7 a.m. Sunday, but troopers say the accident happened sometime during the night on 193rd East Avenue near the Port of Catoosa entrance.

Troopers say the driver, identified as Rodney Harrington, 37, was headed southbound on 193rd East Avenue when he lost control of his Pontiac, went off the road and struck a tree, pinning himself inside the vehicle.

OHP say he may have fallen asleep at the wheel. Troopers say Harrington died at the scene.

OHP says there were no signs of alcohol and Harrington was wearing a seat belt.

No other cars were involved in the accident.
