Jamie McGriff

Jamie McGriff joined the News On 6 team in April 2010 as the anchor for News On 6 at Noon and Six in the Morning reporter.

A native of Huntsville, Alabama, McGriff's career began in college at Oakwood College (now University) where she co-anchored the morning drive for WOCG, the campus radio station. After graduating, McGriff worked in Dallas as a freelance reporter for WBAP.

McGriff then moved into television and worked across the country in cities that included Tyler, Texas, Las Vegas, Nevada and at WHNT-TV in her hometown of Huntsville. Throughout her television journey, McGriff says the highlight has been meeting everyday people and telling their stories.

A member of the National Association of Black Journalists, McGriff has also served as a Boys and Girls Club volunteer. She loves to travel, sing, read and cook, and, of course, eat good cooking!
