TULSA---Loudspeakers were blasting and the crowds were back again at the old Drillers Stadium in Midtown as a final auction was held to rid the facility of all remaining equipment.
'I came out here to see if I could get a piece of history,' said Alex Shelley, 'I mean, I love Driller's Stadium I 've come here my whole life.'
Shelley bid and won a bank of lockers that the auctioneer said could have once held Sammy Sosa's equipment.
'I think that that's pretty amazing that I could just buy something like that,' said Alex.
Much of the sale was devoted to items like industrial grills and kitchen equipment used to feed hungry fans, but there were a few items that were a bit more collectable.
'Come out here to hopefully get some signs for my three-year-old,' said Steve Way, 'he made me come last year, so we'll still make the trek over there.'
Steve was referring to the new stadium where he hopes to soon be making new memories with his son.
