Special 'Edith Head' Exhibit Opens At Bartlesville's Price Tower

BARTLESVILLE, OK – Price Tower Arts Center in Bartlesville is offering free admission this coming Sunday, March 21.

According to a news release, the free Sunday includes free admission to the Price Tower Arts Center Gallery for the Lights! Camera! Fashion!: The Film Costumes of Edith Head and a special craft project for children.

"Sunday will be a great time to visit Price Tower Arts Center and enjoy this exhibition which was put together by PTAC Curator Scott Perkins. And, we want everyone to keep in mind that this is the only place the exhibition can be seen," said PTAC Marketing Manager Debra Woodall.

The exhibit is the first retrospective of the famed Hollywood costume designer in over 30 years. It includes sketches and other personal items, including six of the eight Oscars awarded to Edith Head by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

The exhibition is set to close on May 16th. Price Tower Arts Center is open Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. for the event.
