Tulsa Man Hit By Car While Standing In Middle Of Highway

TULSA, OK -- A man is in a Tulsa hospital after he was hit by a car driven by an elderly Sapulpa couple on state Highway 33 near the Turner Turnpike just before midnight.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 46-year-old Gary Livers had pulled his car over and was standing in the middle of the road when he was hit by a westbound automobile.

Livers was flown by medical helicopter to a Tulsa hospital.

He is listed in stable condition with injuries to his head and leg.

The elderly couple in the car was not injured.

The OHP is still investigating the Creek County accident.
