BARTLESVILLE, OK -- A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a Bartlesville man, authorities believe is responsible for a fire that destroyed the former May Brothers building in downtown Bartlesville last year.
Former owner of a restaurant in the building, Robert Boyce, 49, is now a suspect in the fire which occurred on August 31.
The Washington County District Court has issued a warrant for his arrest.
In the probable cause affidavit filed with the court, Assistant Fire Chief Bill Hollander says he determined the fire was arson and that Boyce had "admitted to a third party that he participated in the planning of the arson fire."
About a week after the fire, Boyce was considered a person of interest in the fire.
