Date With News On 6 Anchor Auctioned Off For Charity

TULSA, OK -- A News On 6 Anchor helped make two wishes come true Friday night.

Tara Vreeland was on the block at the "Single in the City" celebrity auction. 

"We raised upwards to $50,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation," Vreeland said Saturday.

"We were all nervous but we had great support and friends in the audience which really helped," Vreeland said. "We knew we were doing it for a great cause, so how could you not have fun?"

Several were competing to be the highest bidder. The winner offered $7,000 for a date with Tara. Her bid set a new record for the "Single in the City" auction.

The organization also raffled off a 2010 Lexus GX460 that contributed to the funds raised.

All of the proceeds go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
