Tuesday Evening Shooting At Tulsa Apartment Investigated

TULSA, OK -- A shooting at a Tulsa apartment complex Tuesday evening may have been a child mishandling a firearm according to Tulsa Police. 

Police say shortly after 8 p.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting at the Seminole Hills Apartments in the 1600 block of East Ute Street. 

Upon arrival, officers found a female victim shot in the leg. 

The victim was transported by EMSA to a Tulsa hospital and was taken to surgery in critical condition. 

Tulsa Police say an adult, a juvenile and two children were present at the time of the shooting. 

Police say initial interviews indicated a child may have mishandled a firearm.  Their investigation into the shooting continues.
