Command Post Closing In Search For 7-Year-Old Oklahoma Girl

GERONIMO, Okla. (AP) -- The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is shutting down a mobile command center used to support the search for a missing 7-year-old girl.

The center had been posted at Geronimo City Hall in western Oklahoma to help search for 7-year-old Aja Johnson and her suspected kidnapper -- 46-year-old Lester Hobbs. OSBI spokeswoman Jessica Brown says leads are running low in the case -- but that the investigation remains open.

The girl and Hobbs haven't been seen since Hobbs' estranged wife -- Tonya -- was found beaten to death in an RV in Geronimo on Jan. 24. Lester Hobbs has since been charged with first-degree murder in his wife's death and with kidnapping the girl.
