OKLAHOMA CITY -- The way Oklahomans receive notification of when it's time to renew motor vehicle registration may be changing.

Under Senate Bill 1397, proposed by Sen. Mike Mazzei (R) Tulsa, the Oklahoma Tax Commission could send renewal notices by e-mail.

Mailing notices costs more than a million dollars a year, according to the Oklahoma Tax Commission.

For anyone without e-mail access, Sen. Mazzei said the bill would be revised to allow mailed notices, but it will cost $1.
