OHP Investigates Possible Traffic Homicide Near Eufaula

EUFAULA, OK -- Oklahoma Highway Patrol investigators are working a possible traffic homicide in McIntosh County. 

OHP troopers were called to a report of a hit and run accident approximately four miles north of Eufaula on U.S. Highway 69 at 11:30 p.m. Thursday. 

The body of 48-year-old Dana Rogers of Eufaula was found near the highway's shoulder. 

Initially, trooper said it appeared the accident was an auto-pedestrian hit and run. 

The OHP says investigators are now looking at the possibility, Rogers' body was staged to represent a hit and run accident and she made had been killed elsewhere.

Troopers did not say what led investigators to change their initial assessment.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is now seeking the public's help finding the person or persons responsible.
