TULSA, OK -- In a tough economy folks are always looking for a price break if they can get it.

One Tulsa restaurant is offering a discount off the tab, for those who've lost a little off the top.

Customers like Ryan Pilkington at Arizona Mexican restaurant at 66th and Lewis get a discount on Tuesdays depending on their degree of baldness.

"Gentleman come in and sometimes they wear their hats. They come to pay and take the cap off and what do you think, is this worth 30%?"

Heyka Zambrano owns the restaurant and she's been offering the discounts for about a year, as a way of increasing business in the early part of the week.

Zambrano had an eight-foot banner made to advertise, but every time she puts it up, the city comes by and has her take it down. Apparently it violates the sign ordinance.

"We started it in the old restaurant over there, then we came here, so we've been doing it since we were over there."

Heyka's daughter Gabriella is pretty hip to this bald policy, and darn cute as well. So, Rick Wells asked her to run interference and find some bald guys.

"See if you can find me a guy who might be eligible for a discount," Wells asked Gabriella.

Gabriella looked around and she settled on John Odom.

He said he had never heard about it, but it sounded like a great idea.

Here is how it works -- you've got to ask for it and it's got to be natural baldness, not just a shaved head, and the cashier is the final authority.

Odom got $2.30 off.

"That's sweet," Odom replied.

Yeah, sweet, lose some locks … gain a discount.
