TULSA, OK -- Tulsa Mayor Dewey Bartlett met with members of Tulsa's Fraternal Order of Police Friday morning.
News On 6 reporter Dan Bewley reports that the city and FOP are currently $1.1 million apart in reaching an agreement.
The sticking point is that the FOP is willing to not accept pay for overtime for the rest of the year and instead be given comp time. The FOP says if this happens there would be no need for layoffs.

The union says the mayor does not want to use comp time and instead wants to institute a 5.2% pay cut and layoff 33 people.
The union says they and the mayor have agreed to continue the policy of not taking cars home and using the JAG money from the federal government ($2.5 million) over the next 18 months.
The union has not decided if it will take the mayor's proposal to the rank and file.
Dewey Bartlett's office says they can still come to an agreement before February 1.
