TULSA, OK -- Tulsa Police were busy overnight Tuesday, investigating a residential robbery and recovering a stolen car.
Police say a Tulsa couple was tied up in their home near Pine and Lewis after letting a stranger come inside to use the phone.
Police say a man knocked on the door of a home near Pine and Lewis at about 11:30 p.m. Monday.
Officers say the residents let him in after he asked to make a phone call.
The man went back outside and returned with a pistol. Officers say he then tied the couple up, took their TV and cell phones and drove off in their van.
The couple was able to untie themselves and call 911.
In an unrelated incident, Tulsa police recovered a stolen car early Tuesday.
An officer tried to pull a Honda Accord over in the 2200 block of North Owasso Street at about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Three people in the car got out and ran off with the car still running. The car kept rolling until it crashed into a mailbox.
A K-9 officer tracked down one of the suspects and got ahold of him. Officers pepper sprayed another but the third person got away.
Police say the car's owner didn't even know the car had been stolen until police told them about it.
Tulsa Police caught two of three suspects about an hour later.
