TULSA, OK -- Slick roads caused headaches for Tulsa motorists Tuesday morning.

Tulsa Police say they worked a number of fender benders across the city, especially in the downtown area.

One accident at U.S. 75 and 41st Street South slowed traffic and police officers worked another at 21st and Riverside Drive.

Officers asked city of Tulsa sand trucks to hit a number of the problem areas on Tulsa streets and highways.

The freezing fog was mixed with snow grains, leaving a white coating on roads and everything else.

The frozen precipitation appeared to be the thickest in downtown Tulsa, where it surprised thousands of commuters driving in from the suburbs.
