TULSA, OK -- The Roman Catholic Diocese of Tulsa will hold a Right to Life March and Rally to mark the 37th anniversary of Roe v Wade, the court decision allowing legal abortion in the United States.

The "peaceful and prayerful march" will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the corner 8th and Boulder on Friday, January 22.

"Organizers are hoping for 2,000 or more marchers," said Msgr. Patrick Brankin.

The march will be a little less than one mile and will end with a rally at Chapman Centennial Green on 6th Street between Boston and Main. A rally will follow with several local speakers speaking in defense of life, Brankin said in a press release.

The march and rally are sponsored by a coalition of churches including Catholic, Orthodox, Lutheran, Anglican, charismatic, evangelical and fundamental, the release states.
